Initial planning ideas
Zero Day |
Initially, we liked the idea of a School shooter as we thought it would be easy to create and to start with, we were going to base our idea off a trailer called 'Zero Day'. The reason that we decided to change our idea was because in this trailer there were too many scenes that were difficult to film.

As you can see from our initial practice shots pages, we were really struggling to make this look realistic and also to look like a trailer. In the end we simplified ideas down to a school slasher.
FINAL IDEA: SCHOOL REVENGE SLASHER
Production Company Name: Past Curfew Productions
Working Title: Cause for Concern- We chose to call our trailer Cause for Concern because it has connotations with school and the grades you can get while at school. We thought that it was a good name because it is relevant to everything we do as our footage is filmed in the school.
Sub-Genre: Slasher - We chose slasher as our sub genre because we could find appropriate locations and scenarios to film in. We knew that as a team we would be able to produce a slasher trailer better than if we picked a different sub genre. We thought that slasher was a good sub genre to go with as it looks better quality than other sub genres.
Brief: We chose to do a mixed montage of short action clips and shots from around the school to make our trailer stand out due to using fast and jumpy shots. We decided to add in text in order for the trailer to flow a bit more. We also added some quotes in from various industries such as Empire Magazine to help boost the quality of our trailer.
Style: Non-Linear.
Influential Trailer: 'F'.
Casting: Killer (Cam), Victims (Callum, Hannah, Kate, Sally).
Locations: Churchdown School.
Props: Test Tube, Fake blood, Running Machine, Phone.
Timescale: During lesson time and in free periods.
Titles Style: "Chalk Board".
